Fishing on the River Ebro in Spain

Since 2010, we have successfully welcomed groups of anglers and angling families for fishing holidays, offering accommodation in our 4-berth caravan, tents, or campervan parking spaces, all conveniently located adjacent to the river.

Our fishing on the Lower Ebro

The Ebro River in Spain is renowned globally for its exceptional catfish and carp fishing opportunities. At El-Figueral, we are fortunate to own a highly productive section of the lower Ebro River near the town of Benifallet. This part of the river flows downstream from the lock at Flix, passing through Mora, Miravet, and Benifallet before reaching the weir at Tivenys.

Renovation and restoration

Impressively, catfish weighing over 100 pounds and carp up to 30 pounds are not uncommon catches, with some even larger specimens landed, such as catfish up to 165 pounds and carp up to 39 pounds from our bank swims.

Continuous Support

We offer a range of services, including tackle and boat hire, bait sales, and fishing licenses.

App Access

The river also hosts other species like Crucian carp, roach, perch, chub, zander, and barbel.

Consulting

The Ebro River is generally clear with a strong current, featuring deep pools and shallow gravel runs that provide excellent fishing conditions. We are always happy to offer friendly advice to our guests regarding the most effective fishing methods, prime swim locations, and productive “hotspots” on the river.

Project Management

Finding bank fishing spots on the lower Ebro River can be challenging, but at El-Figueral, we offer 4 swims that can comfortably and safely accommodate up to 10 anglers. The banks of the lower Ebro are generally steep, so we have built our swims into the banks, with safe access via steps. The pine tree-lined banks also provide some welcome shade.

Architectural Solutions

Our swims have been designed to take advantage of the river’s natural features. The Pump House and Bay swims are situated on large eddies, which provide ideal shelter and feeding areas for fish in both high and low water. The Tractor swim is fished from a pontoon and is located on a large gravel run, while the Rock swim is named for a huge rock that has created a hole and gravel run.

Accommodation

Our comprehensive suite of professional services caters to a diverse clientele, ranging from homeowners to commercial developers.
